St. Helens Council Youth Service offers a wide range of things to do and places to go for young people aged 5 to 25 years in St. Helens.

St. Helens Teen Advice Zone
TAZ is a confidential sexual health service for young people. Even if you are under 16 we won't tell anybody else that you've been to TAZ, and whatever is discussed will only be known to you, us, and whoever YOU choose to tell.
Very rarely, we might need to share your information with other professionals if we are concerned that you or somebody else is in serious danger, or being hurt. We will always try to talk to you about this first and inform you of anything we do, before talking to anyone else.

A Young Person's Guide to Health & Well-Being
NHS St Helens Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and St Helens Borough Council have jointly developed a mobile phone ‘app’ which will provide information about a range of health conditions as well as advice on health related and social issues which affect young people, such as bullying and sexual exploitation. There is also a website carrying the same information.
The website and phone app are completely free to use and download, and have been developed alongside young people in the Borough. A number of schools in St Helens are backing the app and will be promoting it with their students in the next few months.
The St Helens teenage phone app is available for free on Google Play and the Apple Store – just search for St Helens health advice for young people.

Haydock Curriculum
The pace of curriculum change continues to accelerate, for example introducing a more flexible Key Stage 3. Our constant planning offers confidence for successful delivery and assessment of these areas.
Over the last few years we have been successful in achieving Sportsmark, Investors in People, Artsmark, Careers and Guidance and Healthy Schools accreditation. We were also awarded the accolade of a ‘Get Set’ school in the run-up to the 2012 London Olympics.

Haydock Leisure Centre
Facilities With a £250,000 refurbishment in 2006, the PE department and Leisure Centre were refurbished to accommodate more people and classes, offering a wide range of activities to students and the wider community. The changing rooms are of a high standard with disabled access, automatic showers and private cubicles. Sports Hall The Sports Hall can accommodate the following: 5 a side football, whole Sports Hall Cricket, whole Sports Hall Badminton, whole or half Sports Hall Keep Fit and much more.
