Year 11 Leavers' Assembly 2015
The Leavers Assembly was held in the Sports Hall on Monday 22nd June and was hosted by Head of Year, Mrs Forster. A slideshow depicted the five years that the students had spent at Haydock High School and showed photographs from throughout the years including their first day, the residential Quinta visit in Year 7, Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and various school activities that they had been involved in.
Mr Murphy and Mrs Griffiths both spoke to the students and wished them all well for their future.
Presentations were made to their Form Tutors and Heads of Year and some humorous awards were made to one another.
A special presentation, The Shivohn Watson Award, was made in memory of Shivohn Watson, a student who passed away in Year 9, and who should have been leaving school with the rest of her peers today. The award was for a student who had displayed similar characteristics to Shivohn, being pleasant, polite, kind, thoughtful and supportive of others. The award was presented to Libby Davies and she was congratulated by Shivohn's mum who also attended the assembly.
Refreshments and a cake were provided as students and staff mingled together on their last day in school.

Haydock Curriculum
The pace of curriculum change continues to accelerate, for example introducing a more flexible Key Stage 3. Our constant planning offers confidence for successful delivery and assessment of these areas.
Over the last few years we have been successful in achieving Sportsmark, Investors in People, Artsmark, Careers and Guidance and Healthy Schools accreditation. We were also awarded the accolade of a ‘Get Set’ school in the run-up to the 2012 London Olympics.
& Our School
