Haydock High students show hard work and effort really pays off!

On Tuesday 6th March Haydock High Students performed at the Annual Spring Concert at St Helens Town Hall.

Mr Carter, Head of Music, praised those who took part: "I was really proud of all of the students, both past and present, who represented our school. The students performed really well and all of those hours of hard practice really paid off. I would also like to thank our Peripretetic staff, Mr Wayne Oakes and Mr Dave Storey, who put in so much hard work and effort with our students."

The keyboard choir included:-

James Melia, Adam Baldwin, Mary-Ellen Roberts, Kiera Hodgkinson, Melissa Smee, Jasmine Hill, Dylan Woodacre and Elle Stodart.

James Melia produced an outstanding solo keyboard performance and also performed in the string quartet and string orchestra playing violin.

Lauren Clarkson (an ex-student at Haydock High) also performed in the orchestra on her double bass.

Well done to everyone!

Over the last few years we have been successful in achieving Sportsmark, Investors in People, Artsmark, Careers and Guidance and Healthy Schools accreditation. We were also awarded the accolade of a ‘Get Set’ school in the run-up to the 2012 London Olympics.
