Macmillan Coffee Morning

On Friday 25th September 2015, the Modern Foreign Language department transformed Room 7 into a continental cafe in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. Students and staff had worked hard to lay tables adorned with tablecloths and flags and the room was filled with cakes and biscuits which had been donated by staff members. As staff relaxed, students took their orders for tea or coffee and they could then help themselves to the wonderful selection of refreshments during an extended break time. Head of Department, Mrs Giles did the draw for the raffle and many wonderful prizes were won by staff who had winning tickets.

Many thanks to staff who donated items for the raffle and baked or bought cakes to donate and to all of those who supported the morning by purchasing items and joining in the fun.

Well done to Mrs Giles and her team of willing volunteers who created a wonderful event and once again excelled in their annual support of this charity.

Over £180 was raised - thank you to everyone!
