Haydock Students support Manchester in Personal Development Lessons

Haydock High students have created fitting tributes to the victims and the casualties of the recent Manchester attacks on May 22nd 2017. The students used their Personal Development sessions to reflect, think about and discuss the events that took place.
The theme of the lessons was: "'Bee' the change you wish to see in the world." Students colour-shaded images of bees, the symbol of Manchester, in solidarity and support of the victims of the attack. The students also talked about how many people in Manchester came together to help, care and support one another.
Students took their time to collect their thoughts and feelings, eventually writing messages of hope on the back of the bees they had shaded. Their work will be displayed around school to remind students of the respect, tolerance and love that they should show to each other in the school as well as in the wider community.
