Haydock High Student Strikes Gold at the DSA National Games

Haydock High School student Mark Worthington has struck gold at the Dwarf Sports Association National Games, held on the weekend of the 28th April to the 1st May, winning gold medals in the discus, javelin and shot-put competitions, as well as a silver team medal in Basketball.
Mark managed to have the winning throw in all the field events, as well as scoring 6 out of the 8 points his team managed to accrue during the Basketball competition. It is now the second year in a row that Mark has seen success at these games, after winning six gold medals and one bronze in the games in April 2016.
Mark has been preparing over the past year to compete in the World Dwarf Games that are held in Canada during August 2017 and these wins will certainly boost his confidence of success at the upcoming competition.
Everyone at Haydock High School would like to congratulate Mark on his brilliant performance at the National Games, as well as wishing him the best of luck for the upcoming World Dwarf Games held in August.
