Haydock High School and Haydock Warriors Establish Partnership

Today a number of Haydock Warriors representatives and committee members joined forces with the Haydock High PE department to build on sporting success on both sides and strike up a community partnership. Haydock Warriors have kindly donated two rugby kits to school and will be assisting with the delivery of after school rugby sessions from September. Chairman Frank Bradshaw, First Team coach Chris Smith and John Evans delivered a number of speeches regarding the importance of sport and cohesion between the school, the club and the local community.

Afterwards, a number of photos with local Councillors, Martin Bond and Anthony Burns, took place as Chairman Frank Bradshaw presented Mr Kehoe with a pennant to demonstrate our link together. Later some of the first team players, including Danny Gee, assisted first team coach Chris Smith in delivering a coaching session to a number of Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 boys (Oscar Hardman, Callum O'Hara, Lewis Foster, Owen Evans, Ben Pye, James Whalley, Harrison Picton, Toby Hughes, Aaron Lynch, Jack Davies, Owen Birch, Ryan Appleton, Callum Gibbons and Ben Cox).

Haydock High School would like to recognise the contribution that Haydock Warriors will have with our rugby students and we hope that this partnership will last long into the future.

Over the last few years we have been successful in achieving Sportsmark, Investors in People, Artsmark, Careers and Guidance and Healthy Schools accreditation. We were also awarded the accolade of a ‘Get Set’ school in the run-up to the 2012 London Olympics.
